Climbing the Tree of Life

Squid are cool! Between bisexual deepsea squid, colossal squid, and the way too cute bobtails, there's a lot to get excited about.

It’s finally time to talk about cephalopods, that group with squids and octopuses. I’m excited! And, because last week was so gloomy, I will try my very best not to say anything gloomy today. We’ll get to learn cool things about some of my favorite animals, exciting! Today, we focus on the nautilus.

Today, we are talking about one of my favorite groups of animals: mollusks. Yep, the group that contains snails and all that slimy stuff, but also octopuses and other cool stuff.

Today, we are continuing our precarious climb along the ever-changing tree of life. We are working hard to reach the mollusks because you know how much I love octopuses.

Today, we are going to talk about one of my favorite animals: corals. Yep, I said animal. Those plant-looking things are definitely animals. It’s even weirder than that, though. Let’s dive in.
